Practice Hub
Practice Hub is the Practice layer of the workforce platform — the step between Learn (Training) and Do (the real conversation). Employees rehearse a real workplace situation against an AI persona that plays the other person, then get a scored scorecard with concrete, criterion-level feedback. Most scenarios are authored by peers and curated by L&D.
What it does
- AI roleplay. A learner starts a scenario and holds a turn-by-turn conversation (typed or spoken) with an AI persona. Panel scenarios put several personas in the room; the AI picks who responds each turn.
- Scored scorecards. When the learner ends the attempt, an AI grades the transcript against a weighted rubric and returns per-criterion scores, a pass/fail against the scenario’s threshold, light delivery metrics (word count, filler-word usage), and narrative feedback.
- Peer authoring, L&D curation. Any employee (when peer authoring is on) can draft a community scenario. L&D reviews the AI quality-gate result and promotes the best to curated, then official. Only official scenarios can certify.
- Manager review. When enabled, a manager can review a scored attempt and override the result; the override becomes the final score.
- Writes back to Training. Passing a certification-relevant scenario records an external completion in Training, so “I demonstrated it” sits alongside course completions.
Roles
- Member — browse the Practice Library, run attempts, see My Attempts, rate scenarios, and (when peer authoring is on) author community scenarios visible under Authored by me.
- Manager — everything a member can do, plus the Reviews queue to review and adjust scorecards (when manager review is on).
- Admin / app-admin — everything above, plus Curation (promote community → curated → official), Analytics, and Settings.
Navigation
The left app sidebar shows: Practice Library · My Attempts · Authored by me (authors) · Reviews (managers) · Curation · Analytics · Admin → Settings (admins). The app home (/apps/practice-hub) is a dashboard of your recent practice, pass rate, and featured scenarios.
Typical workflows
- Practice a scenario. Practice Library → open a scenario → Start practice → reply each turn → End & score my practice → review your scorecard.
- Author a scenario. New Scenario → describe the situation and objective, configure one or more AI personas, and build a weighted rubric → save. Community scenarios are AI quality-checked automatically.
- Curate (L&D). Curation queue → review rating, usage, and the AI check → promote to curated/official; mark official scenarios certifiable.
- Review (managers). Reviews queue → open a scored attempt → adjust the score and leave a note if needed.
Settings
Admins configure three toggles in Settings: Enable Practice Hub AI Agent (Ask AI assistance), Allow employees to author practice scenarios (peer authoring), and Let managers review and override scorecards (manager review). Sample scenarios can be loaded or cleared with one click.
